Uneven And Perfect [Death The Kid Drabble]

[Name] pouted as she followed the black clad and haired figure down the hallways of the Academy, listening as he continued to ramble on about something. It was something that [Name] didn’t even remember, much less find interesting. However, that didn’t mean that she liked being ignored by him right now.

“Kid!” she whined, causing the male to stop so suddenly that she bumped into his back.

“What is it now [Name]? I’m busy,” he muttered to her earning a sigh from the [color] haired girl, her [color] eyes looking up into his yellow ones.

“What do you have to do?” she asked him.

“I just remembered that I think I bumped into the picture frame by my door on the way out and-“

Kid was cut off when [Name] reached up and placed her hand over his mouth. “Kid, you promised,” she said softly, sending him a pleading look. Today was supposed to be their day; Kid had promised her that much and now she wondered if he even remembered.

Kid blinked down at [Name] before his look greatly softened. Reaching up, he took her wrist in his right hand and moved it from his mouth. He then placed his hand on top of her head, looking down at her lovingly.

“Look at us. We’re so asymmetrical,” he said gently to her.

[Name] smiled softly, nodding before sliding her hand into his, removing it from the top of her head and holding it between them. “We are but that’s what makes us so perfect. What would be fun about two partners in a relationship being the exact same?” she asked teasingly. She knew that anything uneven, in any kind of way, threw Kid off into the deep end. She just couldn’t help but to tease him about it.

Kid sighed, shutting his eyes for a few moments before opening them once more. “I suppose that can’t be helped,” he stated, leaning down and placing a gentle kiss on top of her head before reaching up with his hands and immediately fixing her hair so that it was perfect once more.

“Today is our day. Right after I check on that picture,” he stated before turning around and walking off again. [Name] sighed but followed after him anyways; after all, she loved Kid, even with all of his quirks, and one more picture frame in their day wouldn’t hurt.
