Watermelon Flavored [Toshiro Hitsugaya Drabble]

“Which flavor do you want?” [Name] asked, looking over her shoulder at her just as short boyfriend, Toshiro. The white haired male didn’t seem to be too happy about being stuck out in the sun, waiting in a line for the ice cream man, in nothing but his swimming trunks. He would much rather be enjoying his time back in the cold water of the swimming pool he could hear his friends yelling from, but [Name] just had to get something from the ice cream truck.

“I guess just an ice cream sandwich,” he muttered, causing [Name] to pull a face at him.
“Jeez Toshiro, you’re so boring,” she muttered, causing the male to glare in annoyance as she turned to the man driving the white van, telling him she wanted an ice cream sandwich and something called a ‘melon bar’.

Seconds later, [Name] had handed over some money and had gotten their ice cream in return, handing Toshiro his as the man drove off and they began to walk back down the hot gravel driveway to [Name]’s backyard so that they could get back in the pool.

Toshiro glanced over at [Name] out of the corner of his eye as he watched her peel open the red and green paper of her melon bar, revealing a pinkish-red bar beneath the plastic. Sighing in contentment, [Name] lifted the bar to her lips and slid it into his mouth.

Toshiro blamed the heat for the thoughts that ran through his mind next but instead of saying anything about them, he just looked over at [Name] curiously. “What flavor is that?” he asked her.

[Name] blinked before holding the popsicle out to him. “It’s watermelon flavored. Want to try it?” she asked him.

Toshiro shook his head. “No way. Do you have any idea how that would look?” he asked as he opened his ice cream sandwich and walked up onto the wooden deck surrounding her pool. It took [Name] a few seconds to understand what Toshiro meant and when she did, she blushed redder than Renji’s hair.

“You pervert!” she yelled after him, earning only a knowing smirk in return for her outburst.

“Last time I buy you anything,” she mumbled before following after him.
